Relive a Bygone Era of Nepal's History

A former Palace of the Rana Maharajahs of Nepal, this palace was converted into a hotel in 1964. Spread over 4.4 acres in the Heart of Kathmandu, it faces the north side of the Royal Palace Museum at Durbar Marg.

Hotel Shanker has a 100-year old history and many events associated with it are part of the country's history itself. Besides this, it can truly be said to be a monument showcasing architecture of the Rana years.
